Sailing Camp for NCC Cadets held at INWTC Goa !!

A Special Sailing Camp is being conducted by Indian Navy Watermanship Training Centre (INWTC), Goa from 18 to 27 April for NCC cadets from three directorates namely Rajasthan, Gujarat and Karnataka & Goa. A total of 20 cadets (10 each from Senior Division boys and Senior Wing girls) participated in camp.
During the camp, the participants were introduced to the basics of sailing and windsurfing, through daily sessions on both theory and practcal aspects. The cadets were familiarised on rigging, points of sail, meteorolgy, rules and racing techniques. The participants undertook Sailing and Windsurfing in the Laser Bahia, Hobie -16, Cadet class and the Bic Nova class of sail boats and surf boards. The cadets were also taught the basics of kayaking in single and double seater kayaks.
